Victus Coffee is a specialty coffee company backed by nearly two decades of coffee roasting and brewing experience. We also pledge a portion of proceeds from every bag of coffee sold to great causes such as CT FoodShare, CT Cycling Advancement Program, Team Africa Rising, and more.
Why did you join the Hartford Chamber of Commerce – what’s the value?
We joined the Hartford Chamber of Commerce to connect with and bring great coffee to area businesses. Our coffee shop on Main St is the perfect location for a mid-day coffee break, meeting up with friends, colleagues, and customers, and grabbing a coffee on your way into the office.
Why Hartford? How did you decide on the location for your business?
Our company has always been drawn to Hartford for its vibrancy, diverse community, and spirit. Our location at 777 Main St actually found us! Bruce Becker, owner of 777 Main St, reached out with an offer to tour the space in 2023. We were quickly impressed with his commitment to Hartford, dedication to exceptional architecture, and support of small business. The rest is history!
Tell us about the neighborhood and what makes it unique.
The downtown Hartford neighborhood is buzzing! From the office spaces and historic buildings to the small businesses popping up all over thanks to programs such as the Hart Lift Grant, it's easy to see how unique Hartford is. Our customers range from residents of 777 Main to people stopping by on their way to work to specialty coffee enthusiasts making the trek to spend the day in our capital city. One thing they all have in common (on top of a love of great coffee!) is a desire to connect with others in a socially engaging space, such as a coffee shop.
What is the best thing about living/working in Hartford?
How much is within walking distance! Within a 5-minute walk, we can visit incredible museums such as the Wadsworth, shop at locally owned stores like Hartford Prints and Gentle Bull Shop, grab a bite to eat at the many restaurants, catch a sporting event or concert—you name it, it's here.
