Pratt Is the Place For This Hartford Business Owner

The Hartford Chamber of Commerce spoke with Professional Barber Shop Owner Christopher Rosa about working in downtown Hartford and being part of a community of small business owners. Why did you join the Hartford Chamber of Commerce?CHRISTOPHER ROSA: I wanted to be more of a part of Hartford with small business owners and to connect with people who contribute to the city of Hartford. The value is meeting new people and being a part of an organization that helps small businesses. Why Hartford? How did you decide on the location for your business?CHRIS: Hartford was always Hartford where I wanted to be.I bought the business in downtown Hartford back in 2003. The barber shop has been in business since 1927, making us the oldest and most well-known barber shop in the state of Connecticut. We’ve serviced Hartford businessman, politicians, former governor’s congressman, senators, and celebrities and athletes visiting the city of Hartford.Tell us about the neighborhood and what makes it unique.CHRIS: Pratt Street is very unique with its beautiful paved red brick street, old-fashioned light posts,  and music playing in the background as you walk down the street. There’s a small Boston feel when you’re on Pratt Street. There’s no other place I’d rather be in Hartford. Pratt is the place!Find out more about Professional Barber Shopprofessionalbarbershop.com | Instagram
