Afterglow Yoga Studio Celebrates Latest Expansion
Making Space for Movement, Community and Wellness in Hartford
HARTFORD, CT: Afterglow Yoga Studio is around the corner from celebrating its second expansion! Afterglow brings quality yoga and wellness experiences to the community in a laid-back environment.Afterglow, located at 30 Arbor Street in the historic Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, was founded in December of 2020. Jane Krantz, a local yoga teacher and professional dancer, was at a loss for work when COVID hit and many industries shut down. She initially started by teaching private lessons out of her apartment, which led to renting out studios and partnering with local businesses to host group classes. It didn’t take long for Jane to begin leasing her own studio space. What started as a 650-square-foot yoga studio soon expanded into 950 square feet after just five months in business. Now, two years later, Afterglow is doubling in size.
A grand opening celebration will be held on April 1, 2023 at 30 Arbor Street, Suite 211. There will be a warm Vinyasa class for all levels taught by Jane from 10:00 - 11:15AM, which will be accompanied by local guitarist, Adam Eytan, of One Time Weekend. Pre-registration is required.
The Afterglow Team will be at the studio until 2:00PM with refreshments and healthy bites, as well as unveiling new merchandise and membership deals. Everyone is welcome!In addition, Afterglow will be selling tee shirts that contribute directly to the Afterglow Friend Fund. The Friend Fund, created in 2023, brings more accessibility to quality yoga experiences for members of our community. In the 72 hours after initially launching the Friend Fund, the Afterglow community was able to raise $1,600. This goes directly to our local residents in the form of full scholarships, class packages, and free admission to certain events. Tee shirts are available at $28 + tax - local pickup, in studio only.
