Invitation to Arts, Culture, and Tourism Day at the Capitol

On behalf of Senator Heather Somers and Representative John-Michael Parker, we are delighted to invite you to Arts, Culture, and Tourism Day, hosted by the Connecticut General Assembly’s Arts, Culture, and Tourism Caucus. This special event will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the 1 st Floor of the State Capitol Building in Hartford, Connecticut.

Presenters will be given a space at a shared table in the Capitol where they will have the opportunity to provide simple marketing and informational materials with guests (including policymakers and other industry professionals). Tables are 6 feet; each presenter will have access to 3 feet of space and 1-2 chairs.

Arts, Culture, and Tourism Day is an opportunity to celebrate and highlight the diverse businesses, organizations, cultural institutions, and attractions that make Connecticut a premier destination—and a great place to live and work. From vibrant cultural experiences to scenic natural wonders, the arts, culture, and tourism industry is a cornerstone of Connecticut’s economy and a key contributor to our exceptional quality of life. The purpose of ACT Lobby Day is for stakeholders to demonstrate the importance of this industry to legislators, agency staff, and other policymakers.

This event will bring together stakeholders, professionals, and enthusiasts to recognize the hard work and dedication of those who promote Connecticut’s rich heritage, diverse attractions, outstanding hospitality, and creative economy. Attendees will have the chance to network, engage with industry leaders, and learn about exciting developments across the sector. We hope you can join us for this important occasion.

Please RSVP by April 25, 2025, to confirm your attendance. You can RSVP via https://forms.gle/GpCfdGeaCNC1eVMn6 and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Rosalie.Filippone@cga.ct.gov. Thank you for your ongoing support of Connecticut’s arts, culture, and tourism industry.

We look forward to celebrating with you on May 7th and recognizing the incredible work you do to make our state an exceptional place to visit and explore.
