Hartford Taste, Presented by The Hartford, Returns to Support Local Businesses

Two-day event will feature even more food, music and art, and benefit Connecticut Foodshare

(HARTFORD, CT – May 9, 2023) Hartford Taste, presented by The Hartford, announced today it will return to Constitution Plaza Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10. Building upon the success of last year, Connecticut’s premier food, art and music event has grown and will now feature 30 restaurants, 30 musical acts and several artists. The Hartford, which insures nearly 1.5 million small business customers, is once again covering all vendor fees so restaurants can participate for free.“The Hartford has a proud history of supporting the city of Hartford, which we’ve called home for 213 years,” said Stephanie Bush, head of Small Commercial and Personal Lines insurance. “As a leading provider of small business insurance, we also recognize the passion and dedication required for small business owners to succeed. This event is an exciting way to bring the community together to spotlight the many talented small business owners in our region, while building on the vibrancy and economic momentum happening in our hometown.”This year’s event will highlight a mix of new and returning vendors, including some that have received national recognition, along with many “new to the scene” restaurants. In addition, the event will also feature two sound stages with a wide range of musical acts and live art demonstrations, highlighting the diversity of culture in our capital region.“After a successful launch last year, we’re thrilled to announce the return of Hartford Taste,” said Mayor Bronin. “On June 9 and 10, Hartford Taste will help kick off a summer season packed with events here in Downtown Hartford. Thanks to The Hartford and other sponsors as well as the terrific local vendors, people from all over the region will have a chance to enjoy the delicious and diverse range of food, art, and music that makes Hartford so culturally rich.”“We are beyond excited to bring back Hartford Taste,” announced Marc Sherer, founder of the event. “This year is going to be even bigger with more restaurants, more music, and more artists and we hope everyone brings their friends, family and colleagues to enjoy Hartford. This event is on a Friday and Saturday to encourage our corporate community to participate. We look for a representation from the many businesses in our region that live, work and play in Hartford every day.”This year’s event will run from 12:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 and is open to the public with free admission.
