Today at 11:00AM: Mayor Arulampalam to Join Local Business Owners to Celebrate Piri Piri-Q, Mercado da Carne and Supermarket Ribbon Cuttings on Park Street

HARTFORD, CONN (January 31, 2025) – TODAY at 11:00 AM, Mayor Arulampalam will join local business owners to cut the ribbon at Piri Piri-Q and Mercado Da Carne & Supermarket, two new brick-and-mortar businesses on Park Street in Hartford’s Parkville neighborhood. 

Piri Piri-Q is a fast-casual Portuguese rotisserie chain co-founded by Portuguese Chef Rui Correia. With its first location at Parkville Market, Piri Piri-Q offers a quick, delicious, and healthy alternative to traditional fast food.

Mercado Da Carne is a butcher and grocery store specializing in Brazilian meats, food products, and fresh produce. Avestil DaSilva, Jr., originally from Brazil, opened his first store in Danbury and expanded his business with this second store in Hartford.
